We'll help you make sense of your numbers and keep you on the right side of HMRC.
You might even start to share our love for accounting along the way. No promises there though!
Support that works for you
Your business is unique, so the support you get from your accountant should be unique, too. We’ll put together a package that does exactly what you need.
Informal, practical approach
We’re not stuffy, we’re not here to make you feel bad for asking questions, and we don’t expect you to be experts (that’s our job). We’re here for you when you need us.
We take a friendly, informal approach to accounting, but as Chartered Accountants, our standards are high. You can be sure you’ll get the quality support you need.
WE WORK WITH...
Whether you’re a freelancer, new business or start-up, we can help you set up, understand and do what you need to do to keep HMRC happy. Strong foundations put you in the perfect position to take your next steps, whatever they might be.
Bigger, growing businesses usually mean more complex questions, as well as all that day-to-day accounting stuff! We can offer you a fully outsourced finance function, or if you prefer, we can just provide a bit of expertise as and when you need it.
Not-for-profit organisations have their own set of financial challenges, so you need someone who knows what they’re doing. We have lots of experience in this sector, so you can be sure we’re a safe pair of hands.
Chartered Accountant, spreadsheet enthusiast (yes, really) & bulldog lover!
Hi, I'm Rachel, founder and lead accountant behind Bulldog Accounting. I couldn't do what I do without a team of supportive faces around me - but more about them later!
I love numbers.
I like to make things neat and tidy and I’m rarely happier than when I have a spreadsheet to play with, but my love for numbers is more than that.
I’m fascinated to see what story the numbers are telling me. They’re a really powerful way to understand your business, so you can work out how to develop it and grow. For me, there’s a real joy in helping you to understand your numbers, improve your processes and learn more about finance!
I'm good at what I do.
It’s OK to be confident, right? I qualified as a chartered accountant back in 2010 while I was working at the National Audit Office. I went on to work for the Ministry of Justice and later the non-profit sector, as Head of Financial Accounts for the Royal British Legion and then Head of Finance and HR for Hertfordshire Independent Living Service.
"Rachel worked with us for 4 months whilst we were recruiting a Finance Manager, and as we were preparing for our end of year audit and accounts. Her experience and fortitude meant that she could step right into the tasks and systems, and work independently to get the job done, to a high standard. Exactly what we needed and a great customer experience! "
