Heraclitus, whilst not a name I trip off on a regular basis, said something along the lines of "you never step in the same river twice". I certainly feel like a lot of water has gone by the last few weeks! It started with the funeral of my uncle Roger, a thoughtful and gentle man, years ahead of his time, who sadly died after a long illness. He was buried at the lovely Arbory Trust, just South West of Cambridge, amidst the trees and creatures he loved so well.
The next day, was my last day of full time employment at Hertfordshire Independent Living Service. Its exciting but scary to be fully focused on Bulldog Accounting, and it was very emotional saying goodbye to the team I have built. They bought me the BEST MUG EVER and I feel so grateful to have been part of such an inspiring business, working with such great people.
After a frantic weekend of baking, I was then privileged to watch my very old and dear friend get married at the lovely Reid Rooms in Essex. Complete with Disney theme, surprise singing waiters, sweet cart, photo-booth and a set of groomsmen with some serious moves, it was a fantastic, happy day and I was delighted to have been a bridesmaid, and made their wedding cake. I'm not going to switch day job any time soon but I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
So that's where I've been but now I'm back and fully focused on finding business and individuals to support. Let's do this!
